CARLOS DOMENECH

Chief Executive Officer and President

Biography

As Chief Executive Officer and President, Carlos holds overall responsibility for Enfinity’s operations and leads the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategy. He has over 24 years of global leadership experience. In the last 10 years, he has raised and participated in raising over $20 billion of capital and developed 10 GWs of renewable assets at various stages and structures, from greenfield to M&A of RTB portfolios.

Prior to joining Enfinity, Carlos co-founded ieX Renewables, LLC, which by 2015 was underwriting over 2 GWs of renewable assets. From January 2014 to November 2015, he served as President and CEO of TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc. Carlos led the formation of both companies and their successful IPOs in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Under his leadership, TerraForm Power became the largest yieldco in North America, with 2.8 GW of contracted PPAs and dividends per share growth of 1.7x from the IPO. TerraForm Global remains the largest global pure play renewable public yield company.

Carlos joined SunEdison, Inc. in September 2007 as CFO and investor in order to take the company public. In January 2009, the Board named Carlos COO, and in November 2009, he oversaw the sale of SunEdison to MEMC Electronics. He then became EVP of MEMC and President of SunEdison, Inc. He grew the company globally from 40 MWs per year at origination to over 1 GW per year, with a contracted backlog of over 1.5 GWs. In March of 2013, he was named President of SunEdison Capital and became a founding partner at EverStream Capital Management.

Prior to joining SunEdison, Carlos had several international senior executive roles at General Electric across several businesses and countries (1992–2007). He holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), a BS in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.

FRANCISCO PÉREZ

Chief Operating Officer

Biography

As Chief Operating Officer, Francisco is responsible for the company’s daily operations, securing the business functionality that drives Enfinity’s extensive and sustainable growth. Francisco has over 20 years of international management experience, eight of which have been focused on the renewable energy sector.

Before joining Enfinity, he co-founded ieX Renewables, LLC, where he served as COO, overseeing all of the company’s operational activities.

Before that he served on the Board of Directors of TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc., where he also held executive positions as Executive VP and COO of both companies from 2013 to 2015. During this period, Francisco oversaw all operational activities, as well as portfolio acquisitions and integrations and the successful IPO of both companies.

Earlier, from 2008 to 2013, he served as President of EMEA, LATAM and North Asia at SunEdison, Inc., where he was responsible for expanding company operations in those regions. He oversaw all commercial, operational, financial and institutional functions of the company and was responsible for developing, building and financing some of the most emblematic solar projects in the industry in those regions.

Prior to joining SunEdison, Inc., he served as CFO of Universal Pictures International Entertainment at GE/NBCUniversal from 1994 until 2008. During this period, he was part of the executive team that drove extraordinary growth for the company, increasing revenues from $200 million to more than $1.7 billion and expanding the international footprint to over 70 countries.

Francisco holds an MBA from ICADE (Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid) and a BBA from Schiller International University in Paris.

PETER HENNESSY

Head of Capital Markets

Biography

As Head of Capital Markets, Peter is responsible for refining and executing Enfinity’s funding strategy and overseeing operations in North America. He is also a Partner of EverStream Energy Capital Management, LLC. He has over 13 years of experience in capital markets and renewable energy.

Peter blazed the trail for EverStream’s investment in the Japanese market and founded the Tokyo office. He then led transactions that raised over $1 billion in capital, both in equity and debt. Prior to moving to Tokyo, he was at the forefront of EverStream’s largest investment in the United States, a $67 million structured facility for late-stage development assets.

Prior to joining EverStream, Peter founded White River Solar, a solar developer that originated a 350 MW portfolio of solar assets in California, which were sold to SunEdison in 2011.

Peter was previously part of the Utility and Power Plants group at SunPower, where he worked on project financing, contracting, pricing, and system optimization for hundreds of MWs across the US and internationally.

Prior to SunPower, he worked with the Citi Alternative Investments platform Sustainable Development Investments (SDI) on their lead investment of $140 million in SolarReserve, and with First Wind (then UPC Wind) on hedging and a successful $500 million tax equity and debt financing.

Peter began his career in the Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He holds a BA in Economics with High Honors from Middlebury College, an MA in International Energy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School.

OLIVER FISHER

Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Biography

As Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Oliver is responsible for managing Enfinity’s financial activity around the world. He has over 17 years’ experience in energy, project development, financial management and business processes.

Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2016 to 2018 he served as FP&A Controller for EverStream Capital. Before that, he was VP of Finance and Operations for TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc. from 2014 to 2016, where he was responsible for the validation of cash available for distribution of operating assets and future acquisition of assets, a critical valuation component in the IPOs of both companies.

From 2009 to 2014, he held various positions at SunEdison, Inc. As CFO for SunEdison North America, he supported the acquisition of SunEdison by MEMC in 2009, and from 2011 to 2014, as VP of Global Commercial Operations, he was responsible for the allocation of $500 million in annual project development capital.

From 2003 to 2009, Oliver held different finance leadership roles at General Electric, including VP of Financial Planning & Analysis at NBCUniversal (2007–2008) and CFO of Universal Pictures Japan (2008–2009).

He holds a BS in Finance & Accounting from the University of Colorado and completed coursework in Finance & Political Science from the London School of Economics.

Daniel L. Gottfried

General Counsel and Secretary

Biography

As General Counsel and Secretary of Enfinity Global Inc., Dan oversees the company’s in-house and outside counsel and manages all legal and regulatory affairs.

Before joining Enfinity Global, Dan was a partner at law firm Day Pitney LLP, where he was chair of the firm’s Public Companies, Securities, Tax and Benefits group and chair of its International Transactions practice.

Dan’s experience includes structuring, negotiating and documenting business deals and investment transactions around the world, including corporate mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and capital formation. Although he has worked across industries, he has specific experience bolstering renewable energy and infrastructure businesses as they pursue global growth. Dan has been involved in projects and transactions in many corners of the world, including the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

Dan earned his BA from the University of Connecticut and his JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Connecticut School of Law.

VIRGINIA AMADOR

Chief of Staff & Head of Enfinity Ventures

Biography

As Chief Marketing Officer, Virginia is responsible for Enfinity’s Marketing & Branding Strategy, as well as Human Resources, ensuring HR compliance and implementation of the organization's talent strategy.

She is also Head of Enfinity Ventures, an independent division and part of Enfinity Global which aims to develop and invest in innovation projects in the fields of circular economy and climate change mitigation. Enfinity Ventures’ objective is to add value to the business by deploying comprehensive sustainability and climate change solutions and services.

Virginia has more than 20 years of experience in international marketing and new business development, 15 of which include leadership positions in the renewable energy industry.

Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2008 to 2016, Virginia held different leadership positions at SunEdison, Inc. Until 2014, she was Head of Marketing for EMEA, LATAM and North Asia. During that time, she laid the groundwork for the launch of SunEdison in Spain, Italy, the UK and Latin America. Her work made a significant impact on positioning SunEdison as a market leader in Italy and Latin America.

From 2014 to 2016, as Global Head of Marketing for TerraForm, she led the IPO communications campaigns for TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc.

From 2004 to 2008, Virginia was Director of Marketing Iberia at Conergy AG, leading the company’s marketing efforts in Spain and Portugal for the residential and commercial business under the brand SunTechnics.

Her career began in corporate communication, leading key campaigns for IT and industrial companies such as Cisco, ICL, Praxair, NeXT and Apple in Europe.

She holds a BS in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a PMD® in International Business Administration from ESADE Business School and HEC Paris, and she completed the Digital Business Senior Management Program, which consists of postgraduate studies in digital transformation, at The Valley Digital Business School.

Ricardo Díaz

CEO Americas

Biography

As CEO Americas, Ricardo has ultimate responsibility for defining and executing the region’s strategy, operations and business expansion in US, Canadian and Latin American markets.

Ricardo is a seasoned global leader who brings over 20 years of experience in sustainable infrastructure equity investments in North America, Latin America and Europe. He has raised over $10 billion of capital (equity, debt and tax equity) and developed 5 GWs of renewable energy assets, both greenfield and M&A. He has global operational and asset management experience with long-term asset ownership, as well as a passion for building cohesive multidisciplinary, multi-country, high-performance teams.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, Ricardo was a founding member of Cubico Sustainable Investments, where he served as Managing Director, Head of Americas and member of the Executive Committee, creating a global renewable energy platform of over 4 GW with presence in 13 countries. He was in charge of strategy, investment, origination and overall management of the business across the Americas, including the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru and Colombia.

Before that, he worked as Managing Director and Head of Principal Investment in Europe for Banco Santander, where he managed proprietary capital investing in excess of $1.5 billion equity in renewable energy generation assets, transportation and water.

As well as holding a BA in Economics, Ricardo has an MBA from London Business School and has completed executive education studies at Harvard Business School.

José Pérez

JOSÉ PÉREZ

Head of EMEA & LatAm

Biography

As Head of EMEA & LatAm, José oversees Enfinity’s overall operations and business development across several European markets. He has over 20 years of international management experience in the financial and energy sectors.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, he oversaw the global operations of Sunco Capital, holding responsibility for origination, operations and asset management. During that period, he successfully developed 2 GWs of PV projects in Spain, Brazil, Italy and Chile. He was also responsible for aligning the development capital to support the company’s growth.

From 2009 to 2016, José was a main driver in the global expansion of SunEdison, where he had an impressive and progressive track record. As Head of EMEA and Latin America, he positioned the company as a market leader in these regions by signing over 1.5 GWs of bilateral PPAs and operating 1 GW of solar projects. In 2015, he became President of Global Asset Management and managed a global portfolio of 8 GWs of solar PV and wind assets. Prior to joining SunEdison, he held international senior financial positions at EMI Music, Universal Pictures and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He holds a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Deusto Business School in Bilbao, Spain.

ALESSANDRO CESCHIAT

Head of Business Development

Biography

As Head of Business Development, Alessandro has overall responsibility for origination and business development in EMEA & Latin America. He has over 14 years of management experience in the renewable energy sector and a track record of over 1 GW of projects developed, financed and interconnected in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa.

Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2015 to 2018, he worked as an independent advisor for various clients, including Gildemeister Energy Solutions GmbH, where he oversaw the legal, strategic, financial and commercial aspects of implementing cutting-edge renewable energy solutions all over the world. He also led the greenfield development of a portfolio of over 200 MWs of solar PV in Italy.

From 2013 to 2015, Alessandro worked as General Manager Europe for SunEdison, developing the brand to become a recognized market leader with more than 500 MWs interconnected in the UK alone. During this period, his achievements in public relations and lobbying were instrumental in the adoption of significant industry regulations.

From 2008 to 2013, Alessandro was EMEA Legal Counsel for SunEdison, managing strategic and financial advisory assignments and carrying out a range of M&A transactions involving valuation, due diligence and contract negotiation.

Prior to joining SunEdison, from 2007 to 2008, he worked as Director of the Legal Department at Conergy in Italy. His in-depth knowledge of industry regulations and success in building partner relationships served to drive innovative greenfield projects in the Italian renewable energy market.

Alessandro worked as a lawyer in Italy and holds a law degree from the University of Milan.

TAKURO SASAO

CEO Japan & North Asia

Biography

As CEO Japan & North Asia, Takuro oversees Enfinity’s overall operations and business development in Asia. He has over 14 years of international management experience in the financial and energy sectors.

Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2005 to 2019 Takuro worked at GE Capital. From 2005 to 2015, he served as GM of Capital Markets and Syndication, arranging large leasing, M&A and energy-related financing transactions through a global investor base. From 2013 to 2019 he worked on energy project investments in Japan as a country representative, contributing to 500 MWs of solar investment volume. Takuro also spearheaded the creation of a solar infrastructure fund in Japan. Prior to GE, he worked in the Japan and New York offices of a Japanese bank.

Takuro holds an LLM in lnternational Tax from New York University School of Law and an LLB from Keio University in Japan.

SANDIP AGARWAL

CEO India

Biography

As CEO India, Sandip oversees Enfinity’s overall strategy, development and operations in India.

He has over 12 years of development, financing and management experience in the infrastructure sector and solid international experience. Prior to joining Enfinity, Sandip co-founded TEPSOL Projects Private Limited, an India-focused solar development platform, majority-owned by EverStream Capital. As CEO, he successfully built an unparalleled team and led the company in the development and commissioning of 120 MWp of solar projects as well as developing a pipeline of over 300 MWs.

Prior to co-founding TEPSOL, Sandip co-founded TEP Solar India Private Limited, a solar development platform majority-owned by Think Energy Partners Solar India, LLC. Under his leadership, Think Energy was named the Most Promising Energy Start Up 2018 by ASSOCHAM.

Before co-founding Think Energy Solar India, from 2009 to 2012, Sandip played an instrumental role in the development, financing, and management of renewable projects in India, Italy, the US, Germany and the UK for a large Indian group.

Sandip was named Corporate Young Leader 2018 by the Public Relations Council of India, Young Energy Professional 2018 by ASSOCHAM and Business Innovator 2019 by PRCI, among other accolades.

He holds an MBA in Finance and is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

FERNANDO PASTOR

Head of Operations

Biography

As Head of Operations, Fernando is responsible for all of Enfinity’s construction activities. He has over 15 years of experience in international markets, executing and commissioning over 1.5 GWs of renewable energy projects.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, Fernando worked in several companies at the Cobra Group. There, as Head of Business Development for Europe & Japan, he led and managed overall operations and the PPAs negotiation process, mainly in solar, wind and waste-to-energy. He also contributed to their work on auctions, including utilities, major industrial companies, and public institutions.

Prior to Cobra (2014–2016), he worked in Japan as Director of EPC at Canadian Solar, providing excellent power facilities by supervising EPC and asset management services for end buyers. In this role, he developed and executed procurement and supply chain management processes to optimize sources, executing a portfolio over 250 MWs.

From 2008 to 2014, he served as International Managing Director at Gedeon Group, directing all technical and construction services for facilities under operation. During this period, he devised and executed cross-border strategies to boost organizational productivity in Europe and America.

Prior to Gedeon Group, Fernando worked in London as Head of Operations at Sunray Management.

He holds a BS in Automatic & Control Engineering, a Physics degree from Cordoba University and an MBA from EOI Business School.

María Díez

Head of Technical Development

Biography

As Head of Technical Development, María is responsible for project development from a technical perspective, ensuring European projects fulfill all the permitting process requirements. She is responsible for managing relations with utilities and main stakeholders involved in the project authorization process. María is also involved in bringing cutting-edge technologies to each project to optimize production and cost reduction, ensuring timely project execution.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, she worked as Technical Director at Vector Renewables (a Falck Renewables company), advising on engineering and construction processes for over 3 GWs of solar projects in Europe, Latin America and Africa. María also worked for Siemens Gamesa for eight years as Development Engineer and Project Manager.

María is an industrial engineer and holds a master’s degree in Renewable Energy and Environment from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM).

Francesco Cosulich

FRANCESCO COSULICH

Head of European Funds

Biography

As Head of European Funds, Francesco Cosulich is responsible for all debt and equity raising via dedicated funds and other private-markets solutions, as well as structuring activities throughout the lifecycle of all Enfinity projects.

Francesco has over 20 years of experience in raising funds and managing private equity, private debt and infrastructure funds, with a specific angle on the renewable energy sector.

Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2017 to 2021, Francesco was Head of Institutional Relations and Partnerships in Southern Europe for Aberdeen Standard Investments. During this time, Francesco led several global projects, including the setup of a €1 billion private equity fund in partnership with one of the largest European family offices, and a €3 billion pan-European debt platform in partnership with a leading European bank.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2017, Francesco worked as Head of Southern Europe for AMP Capital, where he led and participated in a number of landmark transactions, including CLH, Angel Trains, Alpha Trains, Newcastle Airport, Greater Gabbard OFTO, Cyclone Wind Farms and Axion, generating an aggregate value of over $5 billion in transactions, provided by equity and debt solutions.

Throughout his career, Francesco has led the effort to establish strong relations with institutional partners and at governmental level with the key stakeholders in the industry.

Educated at the University of Venice (Italy), Francesco holds a BS in Economics and Commerce.

Carolina Torres

Head of Structured Finance Europe

Biography

As Head of Structured Finance Europe, Carolina is responsible for project financing and other corporate initiatives in Europe, from development and acquisition to structuring and execution. She has over 16 years of international experience in corporate and investment banking, focusing on energy and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, Carolina was Head of Corporate Finance at ThirdWay Partners, and before that, she served as Structured and Project Finance Director at Globalvia, where she played a key role in the expansion strategy, through financing development and acquisition of assets in the US, Colombia, Chile, Ireland and Portugal.

She started working in banking at BBVA in 2002 as Project Finance Associate for Europe and LatAm. After that, she joined BNP Paribas in 2006 as Acquisition Finance Vice-president and was transferred to BNP Paribas New York in 2010 to work on Corporate Acquisition Finance transactions in LatAm.

In 2012, Carolina moved to Banco Santander, where she covered utilities, renewable energy developers, IPPs, and oil and gas clients in US and European companies with subsidiaries in the US.

Through her roles in banking, Carolina originated, structured and executed recourse and non-recourse financing for clients in Europe, LatAm and the US, holding P&L and team management responsibilities and contributing to business growth and expansion, and the achievement of top-ranking positions in the international banking market.

She holds a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Deusto, as well as a BA in Economics and Business Administration from CEU San Pablo University and a BA in International Finance from London South Bank University. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Communication from NYU.

MIGUEL PÉREZ

Head of Global Asset Management

Biography

As Head of Global Asset Management, Miguel supervises the management and performance of Enfinity’s operational assets internationally, both from a technical and financial perspective. Miguel has over 15 years of international management experience, 10 of which have focused on the renewable energy industry.

Prior to joining Enfinity, he co-founded Vector Renewables, where he served on the Board of Directors and held executive positions in asset management, initially in Italy and Bulgaria and later at a global level. During this period, he formed part of the executive team that drove extraordinary growth, increasing their portfolio under management to 3.6 GWs in 12 countries.

Before founding Vector Renewables, Miguel served as a manager at GMS Management Solutions, where he led a number of key strategy and business consulting engagements for major players in the financial services industry worldwide. Among other positions, Miguel served as the company’s United States Country Manager, based in New York City.

Earlier, from 2000 to 2006, Miguel held other managerial positions in the audit business and the financial industry, in companies such as Deloitte and Abanca.

Miguel holds a Degree in Business Administration from ICADE (Comillas Pontifical University, Madrid) and has lecturing experience as a visiting professor at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Madrid.

José Ignacio Ortiz

Head of Energy Markets

Biography

As Head of Energy Markets, José Ignacio is responsible for the optimization of Enfinity’s assets in the different power markets, managing long-term PPA agreements, short-term optimization and market access.

José Ignacio has over 15 years’ experience in a variety of energy management positions. Before joining Enfinity, he worked at Axpo Iberia for almost six years as Head of Renewables and Energy Management, with a managed portfolio over 8 GWs in Iberia. He was also responsible for providing different products and services to renewable producers, including long-term hedging deals, PPA market access and balancing services.

Prior to Axpo Iberia, he worked at Enérgya VM as Head of Energy Markets, managing a portfolio of plants in Spain and Germany and different trading activities across Europe and the US. He has also worked as Energy Management Deputy Director at CENTRICA, providing market access and services to renewables producers and managing trading activities in Iberia.

José Ignacio holds a BS in Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), with a specialization in Energy and Fuels.

CHANTAL FREKE

Finance Director

Biography

As Finance Director, Chantal manages Enfinity’s financial operations, including budgeting and advising on financial decisions. She has over 15 years of international management experience in the financial and energy sectors.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, from 2014 to 2017 Chantal was M&A Senior Manager, EMEA & LatAm at SunEdison, Inc. She played a key role in executing the acquisition and sale of more than 250 MWs of solar and wind projects, from development stage to operational.

She joined SunEdison in 2009 as FP&A Manager for EMEA and became Head of FP&A for EMEA, LatAm and North Asia in 2011. In these roles, she was mainly responsible for the management reporting and financial analysis that supported the company’s growth and expansion into different markets.

Between 2001 and 2009, Chantal held several progressive finance positions at GE Money, Bayer and JP Morgan.

She holds an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands, as well as a CEMS master’s degree in International Management from ESADE Business School in Spain.

Barrett Lachance-enfinityglobal

Barrett LaChance

Director of Structured Finance

Biography

As Director of Structured Finance, Barrett is responsible for asset-level debt and equity structuring with a focus on Japan. He has more than five years of experience in renewable energy development and financing.

During his tenure at Enfinity Global and EverStream Capital Management, Barrett has originated and closed over $700 million in project financing and over $300 million in equity financing for the Japan portfolio. Barrett also oversees operational decisions affecting development, construction and operating assets, as well as supporting corporate financing and strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining Enfinity Global, he was a Business Development Manager at SunEdison, where he was responsible for originating distributed-generation solar projects in the New England area. During that time, he originated over 100 MWs of new projects in the region

Barrett has also held positions for NextEra Energy, Inc. where he focused on customer electrification. His career began at Boston Consulting Group, where he worked in the Washington, D.C. and Tokyo offices and supported energy industry clients on strategic investments and organizational initiatives.

Barrett holds an AB in Chemistry with honors from Princeton University, and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
