Miami (FL), 17th November 2023.- Enfinity Global, a leader in renewable energy, has received the Outstanding Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Deal of the Year award at the Inspiratia Europe Energy Transition Awards. This award was received for the agreement between Enfinity Global and Statkraft in Italy, recognizing the collaboration between these two companies in advancing sustainable energy solutions through innovative off-taking solutions for end-consumers.

The awarded long-term PPA, formalized in December 2022, will be filled with the energy generated from a 112 MW utility-scale solar power portfolio owned by Enfinity Global. The portfolio, comprising three solar power plants located in the Viterbo province of the Lazio region, is currently in the construction phase and is anticipated to commence operations in the first half of 2024. It is projected to produce 191 GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power approximately 71,000 homes and offset 76,500 tons of CO2 emissions—equivalent to the absorption capacity of 3,500 mature trees.

Inspiratia’s award acknowledges Enfinity Global’s leading role in advancing PPAs in Italy and the expertise of its senior energy management team. Presently, the company boasts a cumulative contracted capacity of 232 MW through PPAs with various investment-grade counterparties, solidifying its position as Italy’s leading provider of long-term clean electricity sale agreements. Additionally, Enfinity Italy owns 500 MW of fully permitted solar power plants, 1.8 GW in advanced permitted stages, and 2 GW of storage projects.
